The Pennsylvania Chapter, American College of Cardiology (PaACC) recognizes the dedication and excellence in cardiovascular medicine in the state of Pennsylvania through the presentation of several distinct and special awards each year at its Annual Meeting. Nominations can be sent to the PaACC Chapter Office three months prior to the Chapter meeting to be considered by the members of the Chapter Executive Council. Distinguished Service Award The recipient (chapter member in good standing or chapter staff) is honored for exceptional dedication and service to the members, committees, council and/or staff of the Pennsylvania Chapter, American College of Cardiology. 2007 Steven M. Kitchen, III, MD, FACC Special Achievement Award The recipient (chapter member) is recognized for his/her exceptional and outstanding support of a specific project, goal, and/or mission of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. Under unusual circumstances this award could be bestowed on a member of the Chapter for exceptional and outstanding support of worthy projects of other organizations, the purpose of which the PaACC strongly supported. 2007 Steven M.
